The question on the top of everyone’s lips at the moment is what to wear to all the occasions we’ve pencilled in our diaries?! With wedding season fast approaching and talk of Ascot and other race-days becoming more predominant, all we’re left with is the nagging feeling of finding something to wear.
If you want our advice, we would suggest finding something versatile, statement and a style that can be easily dressed up or down…
This week our Editor has chosen the Precis Petite Enid dress for this very situation. Carefully crafted from a textured jacquard fabric, this dress is cut in a soft prom shape and features a beautiful floral print perfect for the season. There is also a skinny belt designed to cinch in the waist for extra shape, so not only will you look super feminine, you’ll be accentuating your figure too!
Modelled by the gorgeous Caroline from blog The Belle Abroad, this dress can be worn with a cropped cardigan and heels for a garden party or with a structured jacket and strappy sandals for a wedding, you can even wear this dress with ballet pumps for a more dressed down summer look.

Fancy doing something with your loved one this Valentine’s day? We’ve pulled together a few things we think will take your Valentine’s date to the next level and it doesn’t involve chocolates in a heart shaped box or a dozen red roses.
Take a break from the norm with the below….
Cruise around Little Venice on the Prince Regent and partake in a glass of bubbly or two with London Shell Co. Starting from Paddington station, this little boat tour will take you through London and provide you with a tip top meal, now you can’t get more romantic than that…
2. The Sherlock Holmes Experience
Are you a fan of Sherlock Holmes? Of course you are. So whether you want to go with your other half or your best friend, this idea is a marvellous one. Located at Madame Tussauds, this exhibition take you on a journey and will give you something to think about. https://www.thegamesafoot.co.uk/
3. Play with Cats
Don’t worry about being single this Valentine’s Day. Battersea Cats Home have created a cat networking event called ‘Feline Lonely’, where you can enjoy a glass of bubbly, mingle with other like-minded cat lovers and potentially adopt a cat. This is a great way to re-home cats and find you the perfect match (or cat)…
With Spring soon approaching (well, soon enough) we’re all getting our new wardrobes prepared and ready for a time where it’s not too freezing to actually leave the house. We think it’s a great time to start incorporating some colour to your daily outfits and contrast the grey days with bold colours and graphic prints.
Check out Precis Petite’s range of colourful prints below…
The Precis Petite Dana floral dress has it all. With a hand-painted floral print in a feminine shade of pink, this dress is also cut in a prom shape to create a flattering silhouette.
If you wear the Peggy dress to your event you will be literally winning at occasion dressing. The bold and graphic design makes the perfect conversation starter and the prom style adds a touch of femininity.
The Mae Shift dress is perfect for that special occasion and is the epitome of ladylike dressing, the print is fresh and feminine.
Our Maggie dress features a bold, placement print and incorporates a colour palette perfect for the season.
With 2017 soon approaching, it’s natural for us to start winding back and looking forward. New Year’s is all about celebrating newness and the want of something different, so why not kick-start your New Years Eve with a bang by donning one of these party-ready dresses from Precis.
A Little bit of Lace (goes a long way..)
New Year’s Eve is the perfect opportunity to wear lace, although to be honest we would wear lace every day given the chance. The Faith dress is perfect for parties and combines two of this season’s hottest trends; lace and velvet. Such a statement dress doesn’t need too many accessories, so we would literally just add heels and a dash of red lippy to finish.
Smooth Like Velvet
It’s beginning to look a lot like New Year’s, the Precis Cora Jacket is ideal if you want something chic and flirty to wear but aren’t a fan of dresses. With a tie belt to wrap over, you can just add a lace camisole underneath and just finish with skinny jeans and heels.
All in One
Another great outfit for those who are anti-dress. An outfit all in one, this jumpsuit is cut to fit in all the right places and has lace panel detail for extra pizzaz. Accessorise with a finishing clutch and some heels, oh and don’t forget your lipstick…
WE HOPE YOU HAVE A HAPPY CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR!!!
The cold weather can have an everlasting effect on your skin, hair and just general wellbeing. With the lack of sunlight and vitamin C during the colder months, it is essential you give yourself that little bit more attention. Here are our top 3 beauty pick me ups designed to help you cheat the chill and adapt your daily beauty regime.
1. Moisturise in the shower
With the cold weather brings chapping and dry skin, a good way to eradicate this is to moisturise before you’ve even left the shower! Many skincare brands such as Nivea, do in-shower body creams and washes. Not only do they leave you clean and smelling lovely, they also diminish any dryness whilst your skin is still moist.
2. Revitalise your lips
With winter comes chapped lips. It’s a given, and the more you try to wet them, the drier they get. Always apply lip balm, oil or Vaseline throughout the day to keep them moist and protect them against the bitterness.
3. De-Frizz your hair
You’d have thought that the heat was the only thing that could damage your hair. This is untrue. During the colder months the icy air and outbursts of rain, snow or even hail can damage your locks, so what do you do in this case, apart from wearing a hat? You give yourself a weekly hair treatment. This could be in the form of an oil or de-fizz spray you apply when the hair is still damp.
Last month saw our SS17 Press day. Located at 19 Greek Street, a 5-storey townhouse at the centre of Soho, we previewed collections from Precis, Jacques Vert, Eastex and Dash, with each brand having their own floor.
The theme for the Precis room was colourful, contemporary and consisted of a statement lightbox, colourful chairs from Graham & Green and jars of sweets for everyone to eat. Colourful hero pieces were presented on mannequins, whilst our rose gold rails showcased new prints, new shapes and new designs.
We wanted to make an impression and highlight how important colour, fit and design is to us.
We had such a positive response from the press about our collections, everyone is just as excited as we are!
Our collections tell a story of summer florals and dramatic prints.
Keep your eyes peeled for our SS17 collections, coming soon….
This AW16 saw Precis take the blogging world by storm. At least once a week we’ve seen blogger after blogger papped in Precis number and we’re over the moon! The likes of My Boring Wardrobe, Style me Sunday, Polishing Colours and Sassy in the City (to name but a few) have all be representing Precis these past few months and we must say, they all looked amazing! Please see some of our blogger action below, we bet you can’t guess which dress did the best….
My Boring Wardrobe
The lovely Ariella from My Boring Wardrobe loves Precis so much she agreed to model for us! Blogger/model/mummy, Ariella looks just divine in our Alvina Jacquard Skirt and our Lina Polo Neck, which apparently she never wants to take off….
The lovely Denisia rocked the Jeff Banks Wrap Coat last week and we just loved the way she draped it over her shoulders and removed the belt for a more oversized look. This coat is so versatile you can wrap it, drape it or tie it – whatever takes your fancy!
Style me Sunday
We LOVE Nat from Style me Sunday and even more so when she styled our Alaine Shirt Dress with our Alvina Jacquard Skirt – who’d have thought it! Sometimes trying something different really pays off and in our eyes, Nat has nailed it.
Sassy in the City
The gorgeous Lauren from Sassy in the City blog took over our Instagram for us at the beginning of the month and showed you how to style her favourite Precis pieces for the weekend, her favourite is our Aubree Tie Shirt Dress as pictured below…
