The stand out trend of the season has to be the off the shoulder look, a firm favourite that celebrities and high street fashion lovers alike cannot seem to get enough of!
It’s safe to say it has gone from being a hot new trend, to a summer wardrobe must-have.
This Windsmoorstyle is the perfect introduction to the fashion, an elegant black off the shoulder number allowing you to show a little bit of flesh in a sophisticated way. If you’re not a fan of cleavage, this is the trend for you – where sexy meets understated style.
For a statement look, take the trend to the next level and turn heads with these knock-out dresses designed for Jacques Vert by Lorcan Mullany. These gowns will make you feel a million dollars, giving a glimpse of old school glamour and elegance.
We just love the off the shoulder trend, worn in the right way it feels just as appropriate for a day on the beach as a summer ball or the races. It brings effortless style to your look and is super flattering.
However, if you’re not ready to bare all, the cold shoulder silhouette is an elegant trend that looks great on all ages. Vice President of Net-A-Porter Sarah Ruston was quoted saying “the cold-shoulder trend is incredibly flattering for all women because everyone’s shoulders look great.” And we completely agree! We love this classic monochrome style by Jacques Vert.

Dress up with some killer heels and a cropped jacket for smart workwear, or team with some gold sandals and a white tee for relaxed weekend style. We love these chic linen navy culottes by Windsmoor.
Printed trousers have been a key trend for a few seasons now, and we’re glad to see they’re not going anywhere! From the SS16 catwalks of the likes of Marni and Max Mara to the high street, we love this vibrant trend. Be as bold as you like with an all-over print paired with a plain coloured tee, or make a real statement and match your printed trousers with a co-ordinated top for the ultimate summer trend. We love this on-trend wide leg style by Jacques Vert.

Chartreuse (otherwise known as the colour of the season) is not something everyone is familiar with, but is becoming increasingly more popular on the catwalk and on the high street and is high on every designer’s to-do list. A combination of both yellow and lime green, Chartreuse is something in-between and takes the best from both worlds.
Not too bold but not too washed-out, Chartreuse can be worn all year round, so you don’t have to be save it for warmer months of the year.
How to do Chartreuse…
History of Chartreuse
Named because of its resemblance to the colour produced in a French liqueur called green chartreuse (introduced in 1764), this colour-way can be easily styled and works for most skin tones.
This week we have put together a few of our favourite Chartreuse styles you can easily add to your ‘right now’ wardrobe…
Are you a fan of the Chartreuse trend? If so, what’s your favourite and most importantly where would you wear it to? View all our collections here.
Given the choice of man made or natural fabrics, more and more people are choosing natural and this season it’s all about linen. This year we’re very excited to introduce gorgeous linen pieces to our new season collections, a first for Jacques Vert and Dash.
We are big fans of this beautiful material: the feel of the fabric against the skin, the quality of the fibres, the lightness, all lead to a refined and elegant look. Choose a linen suit for a smart summer workwear look.
The Low-down On Linen
It is a textile made from the fibres of the flax plant. It’s a fabric that’s arduous to manufacture, but the end result is a fibre that’s very absorbent and pieces made of linen are revered for their exceptional coolness and freshness in hot weather. What’s not to like?
Linen is therefore the perfect material for warm spring and hot summer days, the ideal holidaywear. We just love how cooling it feels on holiday, but we understand it can be a little tricky to pack without opening your bag to find a heap of creased clothes at your sunny destination! Here’s our little packing guide to help you.
How to Pack Linen for Holiday
Turn the item inside out so the lining is on the outside and fabric on the inside
Place tissue in the middle of the item before folding
Fold with as little folds as possible
Hang items up as soon as you reach your holiday destination and for any stubborn creases hang your item in the shower for a quick steam
We are very excited about Jacques Vert’s new range of linen pieces this summer, so keep your eyes peeled for the launch! Here’s a sneak peek of what to expect…
